I’m so happy to introduce Gorgons MC from my new novel project!
This is going to be my all-woman vampire motorcyle club based in Moore, Oklahoma, a sub-chapter of Dark Chaos MC and part of a shared world series.
I’ll explain a lot more about using my home town of Moore as my setting soon.
My original idea was to name them “Medusas,” but guess what?… There’s a real life all woman motorcycle club in the UK called the Medusas, so I decided to steer clear of that.
Doing this art, even if it’s only black and white art, took a while. Those damn snakes with all their scales took forever, and just composing the snakes in the first place was a lot of work. I did a video of the whole process that I’ll share soon.
Then, the effort on laying out the kutte patches and doing the design ended up taking much, much longer than I anticipated. Sometimes that’s the way it works out.
What I wanted was a mythological figure that caught the spirit of rebellion that I wanted my MC to have, and the Greek Gorgons fit the bill. I knew that snaky hair was going to look great on leather vests and jackets. I can’t wait to draw them with their new patches!
I’m about 90% done with the character sheet for the male main character, so I’ll be introducing him soon. This is all a lot of fun at this stage.
I like to mix my writing and art to create my world. Each element informs the other. You’ll see more as I go along.
